About Tim

Dr. Timothy J. Deyton, a native of Atlanta, GA, now resides in Taylors, South Carolina, with his wife. He holds degrees from the University of South Carolina, the University of West Georgia, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, including a doctorate in conducting. Over his career, Tim has taught at every level, from middle school through graduate school. He has also served on the staff of several churches, ranging in size from 100 to 4000, owned a business, and maintained an active, professional music career. Currently, Tim serves as the Worship Pastor at Pebble Creek Baptist Church in Taylors, South Carolina, is on the adjunct faculty at the South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University, and works as a Funeral Services Associate at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home in Greenville, SC.

Tim and his wife have two sons and a daughter-in-law. Deborah, Tim’s wife, works for the United States Department of Justice and serves in the preschool and children’s ministry at their church. Their oldest son works as an accountant with a private equity group in Nashville, where their daughter-in-law teaches. Their youngest son recently graduated from Ole Miss and serves on staff at Pinelake Church in Brandon, Mississippi.
